The Andy Maute "No Fear" Award #7
Andy Maute passed away unexpectedly in a motor vehicle accident on June 24, 2006. Andrew was born in Newport Beach, CA on May 9, 1989 to John and Julie Maute. He was a senior at Monte Vista, on the varsity Lacrosse team and the Heavenly Foundation Snow Boarding team. His hope was to attend the University of Colorado.
Established in 2007, the Monte Vista Mustang Men's Lacrosse program created an annual award to be presented to the Monte Vista Lacrosse player who best embodies Andy's spirit of living life without fear and reaching to make dreams reality.
Andy enjoyed the competition of the game and the camaraderie of his team. He is clearly missed but not forgotten by his lacrosse family. Andy's memory will live within the MV Men's Lacrosse program.
